At the morning ceremony, the four sides signed identical agreements, with the exception of a protocol or annexed document, in which the United States agreed to remove the mines it had planted in North Vietnamese waters. The peace agreements signed today were based on compromises that allow the two Vietnamese sides to give them contradictory meanings and, as they clearly hope, to continue their unfinished struggle in the political arena without continuing the massacre. The agreement was signed at the gigantic round table, covered with a green Baize meadow, where the four parties to the Paris conference have been talking to each other almost every week for the past four years and often denigrate each other. „The 5+5 talks of the Joint Military Commission today in Geneva culminate in a historic success, libyan teams reach a lasting ceasefire agreement throughout Libya.
